The Global Keyword Registry or GKR is a registration system used to establish a direct relationship between an individual, a company or an organization and any keywords or phrases that serve as a way for the individual, company or organization to be located via an Internet search engine such as GovTide.
As an example, today a flower shop owner may have dozens of advertising options from dozens of providers in the world of paid Internet search. The shop owner however has to establish multiple accounts with multiple providers and place ads within a bidding system (referred to as PPC or pay per click advertising). Additionally, this advertiser pays each time their ad is clicked. The Global Keyword Registry allows this same shop owner to establish one account, purchase any available desired keywords for a set price, in a fixed or set position and never worry about the volume of clicks that ad receives during the registration period.
